Pick your fireworks viewing spot
Where you stand for the fireworks shapes your whole evening. The hub in front of Cinderella Castle gives you every projection and Tinker Bell’s flight, and its crowd gathers an hour or more before showtime. Behind the castle in Fantasyland, you can arrive a few minutes before, watch the fireworks burst over Beast’s Castle, and walk straight onto a ride when they end. For example, tonight Happily Ever After is at 10:00, and the difference between those two spots is about an hour of your evening. With this update, that choice is yours to make, and your schedule is built around it.
Choose where you’ll watch from
Fireworks and night time spectaculars now get the same treatment as parades. When Happily Ever After, Luminous The Symphony of Us, or Tree of Life Awakenings is in your plan, tap the pin icon on the Attractions screen and a map opens with a selectable pin at each viewing spot. Each spot is tagged with the thing it’s best at.
Happily Ever After: The Hump (Best View), Castle Hub (Most Popular), Mid Main Street (Near Exit), and Behind the Castle (Near Rides).
Luminous: Showcase Plaza (Best View), Japan Waterfront (Spaceship Earth View), Mexico Bridge (Most Efficient), and the Yorkshire County Fish Shop Patio (Table Seating), where you watch the whole show from a table with fish and chips and a pint.
Tree of Life Awakenings: Front of the Tree (Most Popular) and Behind Mr. Kamal’s (Seating), ready for when the tree wakes up again this winter.
Your schedule knows what each spot costs
Every viewing spot carries its own arrival guidance, because every spot’s crowd gathers differently. Once you’ve picked one, the optimizer plans your arrival for that spot, the walk goes to that spot, the wait you see is the wait you’ll actually have, and the moment the show ends your plan moves on to whatever is nearby. Pick Castle Hub and your plan clears the runway for it. Pick Behind the Castle and your plan keeps you riding until minutes before the first burst.
The same is true of Luminous. Showcase Plaza puts you straight on and closest to the barges. Japan Waterfront puts Spaceship Earth in the finale frame and drops you a short walk from International Gateway. Mexico Bridge gives you nearly the Plaza view at a fraction of the wait. And the Yorkshire patio turns the wait into dinner.
Parade viewing spots, upgraded
Along with this update, parade viewing got an upgrade. Each parade viewing spot now knows how early its own crowd forms. The Frontierland parade gate and Liberty Square are relaxed arrivals, the Town Square flagpole rewards arriving early and knowing exactly where the rope line will go so your spot ends up front row, and the Castle Hub is a commitment. Your schedule plans each one on its own terms, and the arrival time it shows you belongs to the spot you chose.
As always, this is a beta: if you have feedback after watching a show from one of these spots, or a viewing spot you swear by that we should add, tell me through the beta feedback form. It genuinely shapes what gets built next.
