What is Magic Carpet?
Maximize the attractions while minimizing the walking and waiting

Magic Carpet is an app you can use to get the most out of your Disney World trip. It maximizes the attractions you do while minimizing the walking and waiting. It makes things easy, allowing you to focus on enjoying your time rather than stressing over decision making and scheduling.
Magic Carpet has two modes: the Planning mode, and the Live Guide mode.
Planning
Planning a trip to Disney World should be fun and exciting. I’ve gone down that rabbit hole of watching YouTube videos, reading blogs, and listening to millions of opinions, driven by the anxiety that I won’t make the most of the money I spent on my trip.
In some ways, that rabbit hole can be fun, and I encourage you to go there if you do find it fun (my absolute favourite is watching the Ear Scouts videos on YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@EarScouts).
But at some point you probably want some assurance that you are indeed making the right choices for your trip, and Magic Carpet has you covered.
Magic Carpet has been trained on the data from thrill-data.com. Because of this it can predict, with excellent accuracy, the wait times and Lightning Lane availability for every attraction at Disney World throughout a day. The numbers can change pretty radically day-to-day, depending on park hours, Lightning Lane pricing, day-of-week, time-of-year, and so on.
Magic Carpet also knows the actual attraction and restaurant hours for the days you are planning and will prevent you from creating impossible itineraries.
Armed with a smart optimization engine, Magic Carpet can figure out the optimal path through a Disney World park, hitting each of your priorities at the right time to catch short queues or Lightning Lane return windows. It will also suggest what Lightning Lanes to book to make your day the most efficient, including what to book next when you scan into a Lightning Lane.
Live Guide
When you’re at the park, Magic Carpet has an intuitive interface to help you navigate. Open up Magic Carpet to see what’s next on your itinerary and get walking directions.
The best part is that with the Magic Carpet Live Guide you are never locked into a rigid schedule. At any point in your day you can change your mind and hit the big “Do Something Else” button. Magic Carpet will show you a list of recommended things to do, and give you a way to visualize your route on a map for each choice.
You can decide to reroute to anything, whether or not it was part of your original plan. Magic Carpet will show you the implications to help you quickly make a decision. For example, “If you do Jungle Cruise now, you might not be able to fit in TRON”. But very often, Magic Carpet’s optimization engine can find a way to let you do something unplanned by running a quick re-optimization of your schedule. This allows you to do things on a whim without having to worry whether it will ruin the rest of your day.
This same technique is used when a ride goes down. Magic Carpet will alert you when your planned next ride has an outage, and will use the optimization engine to find the best way to do that ride later in the day instead.
The Experience
Using Magic Carpet, somewhat counter-intuitively, lets you spend less time on your phone. This is because it can make your day work without you having to spend time trying to improve your Lightning Lanes or searching for low wait times.
With Magic Carpet you can truly just focus on enjoying Disney World. You can say “yes” when someone in your party wants to do something on a whim. You can let go of planning and decision anxiety. You can have the Disney trip you always imagined.
